Canada West and the University of the Fraser Valley are ready to welcome the conference’s top 12 women’s basketball teams to Abbotsford for one of the largest single-elimination basketball events in Canadian university basketball history.
The top 12 teams during the Canada West regular season will qualify for the championship. Those teams will then be re-seeded 1 to 12 based on their RPI ranking. The top four finishers will receive an automatic bye into the quarterfinals.
The championship will begin with play-in games on Feb. 21, followed by quarter-final action on Feb. 22 and semi-final play on Feb. 24. The tournament will conclude with medal round games on Feb. 25.
